A/W Reads '10

I'm in serious disbelief that it's August and Autumn is fast approaching. Not that we ever had any semblance of a summer, but look how damn quick the year has gone! It won't be long before 2012 is here!
Anyway, now's not the time to wish I was Bernard in Bernard's Watch [yes, don't deny that you at least watched one episode, children!] and had some special time device to stop time.
Anyway, now that summer is almost dunzo, I thought I'd entice you with some more seriously good reads...

1. Gossip Girl - Cecily Von Ziezegar - OK, OK, so nothing's going to beat Ed Westwick on screen as the ever so sexy Chuck Bass, not to mention his scene stealing one liners that have become staple from seasons 1-4, but at some point it's good to read the books and get an insight behind the brains of the whole rather successful operation. No, I'm not talking Josh Schwartz or Stephanie Savage who have only become better post-OC days, and [honestly I didn't think nuthing was gonna top that shizz!] or Eric Daman, the simply AMAZING costume designer, and the reason why the fashion world keeps going nuts about the GG wardrobe, not to mention Blake, Leighton, Jessica, Michelle, Hilary and Clemence all going crazy for their wardrobes. In this case I'm talking about the books, where the characters, especially Dan, seem to appear slightly darker.

2. House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival by Deborah Ball

3.
Living Dolls: The Return of Sexism by Natasha Walter

4.
Love and Other Impossible Pursuits by Ayelet Waldman

5.
Naked by David Sedaris:

6.
If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You by Kelly Cutrone:

7.
What I Loved by Siri Hustvedt

8. The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake

9.
Breakfast With Tiffany: An Uncle's Memoir by Edwin Wintle

10. Playing With The Grown Ups by Sophie Dahl -

11. When You Are Engulfed In Flames by David Sedaris -
